Welcome to For Whom The Cowbell Tolls
Welcome to For Whom The Cowbell Tolls! Hopefully this will be the beginning of a beautiful thing for the Mississippi State fan base.
First, a little about me. I am a Mississippi State graduate, recieving my Bachelor of Fine Arts, with a double emphasis in Graphic Design and Photography, in May of 2000. Shortly after graduation, my wife and I moved to Birmingham where I am employed as a web designer by one of the top firms in the area. I have had my own blog where I post about geeky stuff for quite some time now.
I have always followed Mississippi State sports and all the scuttlebutt that goes along with it, first on the original Gene's Page, then on the infamous Six Pack Speak boards. I saw a post from someone with an MSU blog on blogger that was wanting to hand it off to someone. I took the reins of the Mississippi State Sports Blog in July of 2005. Soon after that I moved it to its own domain and it took off from there.
I have been impressed by the growth of SBNation and the caliber of the other blogs on here, especially the SEC blogs. They did not have an MSU-focused blog, so when they approached me about joining SBN, I said yes.
And here we are. I am hoping that being on the SBN network will help to spur conversation amongst the Maroon faithfull. You can do that by adding comments, fan posts and fan shots.
Go Dawgs and GTHOM!

Awesome!
Glad to have you around. SB Nation is an awesome site. The Bama blog RBR is pretty active and hopefully you will have the same results.
Good luck and ROLL TIDE!
When you are an Alabama fan you are expected to hate Auburn, I hate Tennessee because I want to.
Second commenter ever...
Sweet.
Amazing basketball game last night.
Son-of-a just like a UT fan to come in at the last second and steal an LSU fans thunder…Third commenter ever.
Welcome...
I see Bammer and Jonno are already here. Make sure they don’t drink all your beer, Jeremy.
We at Track Em Tigers have given you props…

Glad to see Miss State join SBN
I love the name too. I mean, as I’ve always told Joel and Hooper at RTT:

… which works out well for you.

welcome
I’m glad to see more of the SEC get on board here. Big weekend of basketball for both our schools — both men and women. Again, welcome on board, and WAR EAGLE!
What do an Auburn fan and a bammer have in common? (Neither of them ever attended that school in tuscaloosa).
Welcome
TrackemTigers says hello, and we hope you have as much fun on your site as we do on ours.
If you are a War Damn Eagle, you can War Damn anything.
Sweet!
A MSU Blog that I can spend inordinate amounts of time at!
Colorado Avalanche: Gellin' and Propellin'!!!
Jeremy:
Please tell me who you think most Bulldog fans would rank as their top 3 SEC football rivals. I’m preparing a thread for TET next week. I’m sure UM will be your biggest, but I want to know who 2 and 3 are. Thanks!

1 – Ole Miss
2 – Alabama
3 – LSU
I may write up a post on why I list them like that, but there you go. Auburn is a very similar school to MSU – Ag/Engineering. I don’t think Arkansas is really anyone’s rival. They would rather be playing Texas and Oklahoma every year anyway. We don’t really have a regular SEC East rival (UA/UT, AU/UGA, etc). So yeah, I think my list is pretty solid.

Thanks!
I kinda figured that MSU’s biggest rivals would be in close proximity…

But...
I am surprised that Auburn didn’t crack the top 3, being that we have an 82-game history together…
