Who Is Cam Newton

There is a lot of talk going around about some kid named Cam Newton. If you read too much into it, you would think he was the savior of MSU football. Newton was a QB at Florida that apparently had some issues and left the program. He has been playing for Blinn College, a JUCO in Texas.

He is 6"6' and about 230 pounds and is a very Tebow-esque quarterback. Here is a taste of what he did vs. Tennessee his freshman year at Florida:

It will be interesting to see if we get him and will definitely make for some good quarterback competition come spring.

this kid will make an instant impact if MSU can get him

he is familiar with mullen’s offense and has a chip on his shoulder. i would hate to be a UF defensive back next year if this kid signs up with MSU.
i was hoping that Cam would have taken all the wildcat and option plays for teboe this past season but for unspecified reasons was cut loose from the team before the season started
