Mississippi State - LSU Preview

Mississippi State has beaten Georgia and South Carolina to make it to the SEC Tournament semi-finals to face LSU. The Tigers beat State both times they met during the regular season, including a tough double-overtime loss in Starkville.

A win over LSU today will definitely help Mississippi State over the NCAA bubble that they are sitting on right now.

The keys to this game will be a strong showing by Varnado. In the double-overtime loss to LSU, Jarvis had a career-high 31 points with 6 blocks.

State and LSU are set to tip off at Noon CT in Tampa. The game will be televised by Raycom Sports.

A win over the Tigers will keep State in the tournament and in the run for an NCAA bid. The other semi-final being played today puts Auburn against Tennessee.

The SEC Tournament Final is set for a Noon CT tip off on Sunday and will be televised by CBS.
