Catching Up

Its been a while since I posted here. We were on Spring Break vacation and then had a lot of other stuff going on. The fact that the men's basketball team didn't make it past the first round of the NCAA plus the women losing out in the second round made it easy not to post anything.

So now baseball is in full swing. The team isn't doing so hot, but unless you are Arkansas or LSU, no body is doing to well right now. We are planning on attending Super Bulldog Weekend and the Spring Game, so expect extensive reports from that weekend.

On the basketball front, the big story right now is whether Jarvis Varnado will be returning for his senior year or not. As of today, he is undecided - at least that is what he told Veazey. He has until April 26 to decide whether he will declare for the draft.

Varnado and Alexis Rack were both named Mississippi's top basketball players, making it a clean sweep for Mississippi State.

Spring practice has been in full swing since March 24. I haven't had a chance to read many of the reports, so I will wait to comment on the progress of the football team under new coach Dan Mullen and his spread offense.

So, what else has been going on? Is the baseball team meeting expectations under first year skipper John Cohen? Are you hoping Varnado returns for another year? Are you going to Super Bulldog Weekend?
