New Uniforms Unveiled

Players in new uniforms

Mississippi State unveiled their new Adidas uniforms at a press conference recently. The biggest change with the new uniform is the switch back to maroon helmets, replacing the white helmets that most fans despised.

The uniform will feature the new university athletic wordmark in the center of the chest, marking the first time in the modern era the full "Mississippi State" name has ever been displayed on the jersey.

I like the new uniforms. The return to maroon helmets is huge. I hope they can stay away from having to use the white-on-white and maroon-on-maroon look. Those just look weird to me.

You can see photos of the new uniforms and helmets at the MStateAthletics.com website.

LIke the Maroon Helmets

Unlike the Bulldogs are playing Texas A&M in a snow storm, State shouldn’t be wearing white helmets. I have fond memories of watching that Independence Bowl on TV.
