Afternoon shift open thread
We are chilling out in the Magic City, watching the battle of the 2 tallest quarterbacks ever down on the plains. Here are our picks in the ESPN college PIck'em this week:
Tide over Ole Mis Rebel Grizzly Huggy Bears
Trojans over Golden Bears
Beavers over Huskies
Wolverines over Hawkeyes
Boilermakers over Gophers
Huskers over Longhorns
Spartans over Illini
Razorbacks over Tigers
Wildcats over Cocks
Badgers over Buckeyes
So who ya got?

I’m joining the party kinda late. Some of these have already started, but heres what I got for the games that have not started or completed:
Crimson Tide will Roll over the Gummi Bears
Oregon State over Washington
Its looking like Iowa is gonna get Michigan
I don’t think Kentucky will be able to beat the Gamecocks
Although the Razorbacks are currently losing and without Mallett…I still think they’re gonna win this game…the back up qb is playing pretty well
Longhorns are currently sticking it to the Huskers (and I’m loving it)
As much as I want Wisconsin to beat Ohio State, I just don’t think it’ll happen…
Michigan looks to be trying to make a comeback. I am hoping the Wildcats catch S. Carolina coming down off the high of beating Alabama and can sneak up on them. We have a shoot-out on the plains right now. Arkansas is suddenly a running team without Mallet.

I would love to see the Wildcats win…and you’re right, if S. Carolina is looking past them they are certainly capable of getting the win. I just don’t think Spurrier is gonna let them do that though. The Auburn/Arkansas game is getting VERY interesting…at this point I don’t think I’d want to see Mallet back in even if he was healthy (obviously, I’m rooting for Arkansas here)
