Chris White Racking Up Honors
Senior linebacker Chris White is building quite a resume of honors this week. Monday, he was named the SEC Defenisve Player of the Week for his effort in the Bulldogs victory (no upsets here) over the Florida Gators.
White posted 11 total tackles (nine solos) including 4.5 tackles for loss (-20 yards). Among White's 4.5 TFL's was two sacks for minus 16 yards. The Bulldog defense held Florida to its lowest point total in five years in the win and held the Gators to only 25 total yards in the first quarter and 17 rushing yards on 17 attempts in the first half. White is currently second in the conference in tackles for loss (12.0) and tied for second with 5.0 sacks and also ranks fifth in the SEC with 57 total tackles on the season.
Today, White picks up another POTW nod as he was named the FWAA/Bronko Nagurski National Defensive Player of the Week. As part of this award, White is also added to the 2010 Bronko Nagurski Trophy Watch List.

Missing Chaney?
I think most fans were worried about the linebacker position with the loss of Jamar Chaney, but moving KJ to the weak side and bringing White to the middle/strong side has really worked out well for us.
