State is #1 seed in NIT; Faces Jackson State in opening round
After being given the shaft by the NCAA selection committed, Mississippi State landed a #1 seed in the NIT. The Bulldogs will kick-off the opening round with a home game matchup against Jackson State (#8). That game will be played at The Hump on Tuesday, March 16 at 9pm and will be televised by ESPNU.
Other teams in the same bracket as Mississippi State include UAB (2), South Florida (3), North Carolina (4), William & Mary (5), NC State (6), and Coastal Carolina (7).
Ole Miss was the only other SEC school in the NIT and the only other SEC West school to make it to post-season play of any kind.

UAB and UNC are going to be tough outs, but so will we. For how many rounds do the higher seeds get the game on their home courts?
Playing, coaching, and watching basketball.
Home Court
I may be wrong, but I think as long as you win, you get home court until the “NIT 16” goes to NYC
