The Story Behind The Ticket

Daily Journal reporter and MSU beat writing Brad Locke was able to get in touch with Alabama's associate AD for media relations Doug Walker, who had this to say about the misspelling of MIssissippi on this year's Alabama season tickets:

"I don't want to trivialize it, because I don't mean it that way, but it's just a simple mistake that occurred in the editing process within the ticket office, and obviously a regrettable one," Walker said. "Not something with any bad intent toward anyone."

Walker also said that they could not reprint the tickets because it would be almost physically impossible to replace all the tickets that are out.
