Power Forward Fallou Ndoye Commits to MSU Basketball

The 6'10" Ndoye's commitment gives MSU a much needed depth boost on the low block.

Findlay Prep (NV) power forward Fallou Ndoye has committed to Mississippi State, per Paul Jones of 24/7 Sports.

Ndoye, a 6'10" 215 lb low block presence, is currently rated at an 81 and a *** by 24/7 sports. He is listed as a PF as a prospect, but it is likely that Ndoye will play the center position in college.

Fallou unofficially visited State back on September 29th, and on October 4th, MSU coaches went to visit him at his new school, Findlay Prep, in Nevada. Fallou previously attended Faith Baptist School in Fort Pierce, Florida.

Ndoye chose Mississippi State over offers from the likes of Virginia Tech, Texas A&M, Southern Cal, and Nevada, among interest from additional schools. I don't know about you, but that seems like a pretty impressive get for Rick Ray.

Note this comment that Fallou gave to Paul Jones in the above linked commitment story:

"I just liked the staff and I have a good chance to play early," said Ndoye, who unofficially visited MSU last month. "When I went there I was comfortable around their players and their coaches. I like the system that Coach Ray executes on offense and defense. He likes for his guys to run the floor and I feel I am good at doing that."

That is a smart sell for MSU's coaching staff, and a point that may help them land some recruits in the future that may have not been previously thought to be within reach. It's also good to see that Ndoye is comfortable in running the floor, as it is already apparent that that will be a huge part of the offense under Rick Ray.

Ndoye's pledge gives the Bulldogs four commitments for the class of 2013, as he joins PG I.J. Ready, along with forwards Quantel Denson and Travis Daniels. All four commitments are likely to sign in the early signing period when it beings today. We will keep you updated as those come in.
