After taking a step out of the polls last week for the first time since week 3, Mississippi State today returned to both of college football's major polls after thumping Arkansas 45-14 on Saturday. Mississippi State today moved up to 25 in the AP Poll, while the Dogs re-entered the USA Today Coaches' Poll at 24.
State had moved out of the poll if only to 28 or 29 last week after losing their third straight game, but the Bulldogs' results Saturday left the voters no choice but to move us right back in.
Even though re-entering the polls was big news in Starkville today, there was bigger news on the national scale this weekend, As both #1 Kansas State and #2 Oregon both went down, thus throwing the top 5 into a frenzy for the second straight week.
