State lost another close game on Saturday night to LSU, 4-3. Nick Routt started for MSU giving up three runs in 3 2/3 innings. Evan Mitchell came in for relief and kept the Dawgs around only giving up one run in 4 1/3. Trey Porter hit his 4th home run of the year, going 4 for 5 and improving his average to .397. Mississippi State has now lost 4 in a row - all in the state of Louisiana (two to Southeastern LA and two to LSU). The last game in the swamps will be today at 1:00.
