8 2/3 innings with 17 strikeouts against LSU on Friday night was good enough to earn Chris Stratton National Player of the Week honors from Louisville Slugger. He also was named SEC Pitcher of the Week. Stratton gave up only one run on four hits in the game. He got a no-decision in a game that MSU eventually lost 3-2, but the performance was a great one against a solid LSU team. Chris leads the SEC with 44 K's this year. He is a junior from Tupelo.
