#79 - Derek Sherrod.
Sherrod came to State in 2007 and played in 11 games as a true freshman. Over his next three years in Starkville, he started 35 games at left tackle. In his senior year, 2010, he was selected to the 1st team All-SEC.
In the spring of 2011, he was selected in the 1st round of the NFL Draft by the Green Bay Packers...the first Bulldog 1st round draft choice since Eric Moulds and Walt Harris in 1996.
