MSU TE Marcus Green granted 6th year of eligibility

In what I would consider pretty stunning news this morning, MSU Tight End Marcus Green has been granted a 6th year of eligibility by the NCAA. Green makes a pretty deep group of TE's even deeper for State, and will most likely compete with Malcom Johnson for the starting position this fall. ETA: Brad Locke's article states that Green met the requirements of a medical hardship after the 2010 season, but was told he could not apply for it until his eligibility was exhausted after the 2011 season. Makes more sense now, at least in my opinion.
