On Saturday I watched Kentucky play Mississippi State. During that time the commentators wondered why the students are on the other side of the arena in the second half where the visiting team faces, For example Kentucky was shooting free throws on the side of the hump without the student section in the second half. The commentators later said that Scott Stricklin came down and explained that it was part of an SEC Sportsmanship Policy stating that the Student Section cant be next to the visitors bench. Well I flipped the channel later that day to find Missouri playing Ole Miss in the second half. And not only do I notice that Missouri faced the Student section when shooting free throws, but the visitors benches were next to the student section. Well shouldn't the SEC Fine Ole Miss? After all most of their games are on TV and it is very easy to notice. I am not blaming MSU for not having the visitors play on the side of the student section in the 2nd half, i am just simply wondering why Ole Miss can have their student section on the side of the visitors in the 2nd half.
