Jonathan Holder Taken by New York Yankees in Round Six

After the New York Yankees took Mississippi State's Jacob Lindgren at number 55 in the draft, they called Starkville again to select the Bulldogs' Jonathan Holder.

Two of Mississippi State's premiere relievers have been taken in the Major League Baseball draft as the New York Yankees selected Jonathan Holder with the 182nd overall pick. Earlier, the Yankees took Jacob Lindgren with the 55th overall pick.

Holder dominated the competition during his sophomore season, supplanting Caleb Reed as the closer for the Bulldogs.
