The Bulldogs were one of nine SEC teams to be ranked in the poll's initial top 26.
Mississippi State starts off the season ranked 13th, as the first college baseball poll, the Collegiate Baseball Newspaper's, was revealed yesterday.
MSU is one of nine SEC teams ranked in the top 26 out of the 40 teams ranked in the initial poll, including preseason number one, Arkansas.
With pretty much the entire lineup returning for 2013, I wouldn't expect this to be the last high preseason ranking that the Bulldog receive prior to the season's first pitch in February.
