The bowl picture is complete, and 9 SEC teams have accepted invitations to bowl games. Here's the recap.

Mississippi State to play Northwestern in 2013 TaxSlayer.com Gator Bowl

We finally have confirmation of what we have pretty much known since early this afternoon: Mississippi State will be playing the Northwestern Wildcats in the Gator Bowl on New Year's Day.

MSU is headed to the TaxSlayer.com Gator Bowl for the second time in three seasons, per Brandon Marcello . This time the Bulldogs will take on the Northwestern Wildcats

Vanderbilt and North Carolina State to matchup up in Music City Bowl, according to report

The Charlotte Observer's Joe Giglio tweets this afternoon that it is Vanderbilt and North Carolina State pitted against each other in this year's Music City Bowl

Looks like it will be Vanderbilt and NC State in the Music City Bowl in Nashville

This information would obviously corroborate thoughts that State is headed to the Gator Bowl

Gator Bowl announcement should come at 5:30 Eastern, 4:30 Central, according to Brad Locke

The Northeast MS Daily Journal's Brad Locke, who spoke with the Gator Bowl President earlier in the week, says that the president told him to expect an official announcement on teams around 5:30 EASTERN time, 4:30 Central time this afternoon

Northwestern to the Gator Bowl official

The Northwestern Wildcat athletics twitter feed confirms what was reported earlier: the Wildcats are headed to Jacksonville for the TaxSlayer.com Gator Bowl.

With that becoming official, we should be all but official to head to the Gator Bowl ourselves. As of right now though, 3:20p.m., we still await official word on that though
