We passed along earlier this week the story from 247 Sports stating that Butler CC LB Tommy Sanders would announce his commitment today.
Now, it appears, that may be up in the air.
Well, now 4-star JUCO LB Tommy Sanders MAY still announce Wed. He's not sure. Will still visit #Auburn or #Gamecocks this wkd though

Even if Sanders announces his commitment today, it will most likely not be over for him until signing day, as the new staff at Auburn as well as South Carolina have made a push within the last 48 hours. According to Sanders' 247 player profile timeline, he was visited by Gamecock assistant Kirk Botkin and new Auburn head football coach Gus Malzahn since announcing that he would commit on Wednesday.
Sanders hoped to receive a scholarship offer from Ohio State on his visit there this past weekend ($), but it appears that he did not and still has not as of right now. Additionally, the Texas A&M Aggies, who appeared to be his leader for awhile, are still trying to decide if they have room for him as well.
What seemed to be a clear cut race between three teams has apparently now widened back out to five teams. Even if Sanders commits today, he will still take his visit this weekend to either Auburn or Columbia, so it won't be over for sure until the pen hits the paper in February.
Stay tuned, we will keep you updated as best we can on this.
Here's highlight tape on Sanders at Butler CC.
[UPDATE] - Just as soon as I published the info above, Auburn's 247 site ran a story ($) saying that Sanders would definitely visit either South Carolina or Auburn this weekend, and his decision would be pushed back until next week after he has wrapped up visits. It also says (via one of Sanders' coaches) that Sanders will now likely decide between Texas A&M, Ohio State, South Carolina, and Auburn. Looks like State is officially out of the running on this one.
