After cancelled flights forced 4-star JUCO defensive tackle Toby Johnson to miss his Mississippi State official visit last weekend, it looks like the Bulldogs will get him for his final official visit, but not before signing day.

The 6'4.5" 310 lb star out of Hutchinson (KS) C.C. will visit Auburn this weekend, and will take his final official visit to Mississippi State next weekend on the weekend of February 9th. Initially following the delayed MSU visit, Johnson talked of visiting MSU Thursday and Friday and Auburn Saturday and Sunday, but he ultimately decided to delay signing so that he could visit both for a full weekend, instead of squeezing in both trips this weekend. That also means that Johnson will push back his signing date to February 13th, one week after the signing period opens, to accommodate the revised visit schedule.
MSU has to feel good about getting Johnson for his final visit before he signs. Although he is presumed to be leaning towards Georgia, he has family in Mississippi, and that may play a role in his final decision. A late addition of Johnson to this class would provide a boost not only in star power, but in depth on the defensive front, as Johnson could be an immediate contributor if he is healthy next fall.
