One State fan on fancred caught up with coach Mullen on the Road Dawgs tour, and Mullen told him that he and Meyer had caught a Buffett concert together recently. There's really nothing groundbreaking here, just the fact that I would have been interested to see those two together at the concert, hopefully singing "cheeseburger in paradise" at the top of their lungs.

Interesting perspective from friend of the blog and B&B co-host Brian Hadad on the upcoming season, in which he thinks Dan Mullen's career at MSU is at a crossroads. Really well written by Brian. Do you guys agree or disagree? I know we'll hear from Metal Building Dawg on this later in the week.

CBSSports' College Football Blog says that CaneSports.com is reporting that Dan Mullen is at the top of the list in the Miami coaching search.

This year, MSU could show marked improvement. The schedule sets up nicely, with four of the first five games at home. The Bulldogs also get Kentucky and Arkansas in Starkville late in the season, when a bowl bid could be on the line.
