Brian Hadad: MSU and Mullen at a crossroads in 2012

Interesting perspective from friend of the blog and B&B co-host Brian Hadad on the upcoming season, in which he thinks Dan Mullen's career at MSU is at a crossroads. Really well written by Brian. Do you guys agree or disagree? I know we'll hear from Metal Building Dawg on this later in the week.

MSU TE Marcus Green granted 6th year of eligibility

In what I would consider pretty stunning news this morning, MSU Tight End Marcus Green has been granted a 6th year of eligibility by the NCAA. Green makes a pretty deep group of TE's even deeper for State, and will most likely compete with Malcom Johnson for the starting position this fall. ETA: Brad Locke's article states that Green met the requirements of a medical hardship after the 2010 season, but was told he could not apply for it until his eligibility was exhausted after the 2011 season. Makes more sense now, at least in my opinion.

ESPN's Chris Low ranks MSU football facilities 9th

Chris Low, ESPN's lead SEC blogger, today compiled a ranking of the SEC football facilities. MSU came in 9th out of 14 (list includes new members aTm and Mizzou), but Chris appears to have not updated his info on the new football facility: "The Bulldogs are breaking ground on a new $25 million football complex sometime this year..." Try LAST year, Christopher. Do you agree with this ranking? At first I thought we were ranked low, but there are some really good facilities ahead of us.

Spring Game to be live on radio and HailStateTV, tape delayed on CSS, and on ESPN3 outside southeast

Cant make the spring game Saturday but want to watch the game live? Well, if you live in the southeast, you're out of luck. State announced that the spring game will be live on the radio network, will be tape delayed on CSS (Sunday), and will air on ESPN3 OUTSIDE OF THE SOUTHEAST. Which is awesome, if you live in Cali, or Saskatchewan. Edit to add: the game will be on HailStateTV live too, if you're a member.

EDSBS goes inside MSU Football for a day

If you haven't already seen it suggested by the 13245135351239 other State people who may have passed it to you via email, twitter, or Facebook today, I suggest you take the time to read Spencer Hall's recap of his day with Dan Mullen and the Mississippi State football program. An outstanding job by Spencer, even though Dan thought he was a dormitory! (no joke) Check it out

Michigan to include #GOBLUE hashtag on field for spring game

It appears the trend Scott Stricklin and company started last fall with the #Hashtagonthefield is catching on in other places. Michigan, which has its spring game this upcoming weekend, will hashtag #GOBLUE on the 25 yard lines. Where Michigan takes it further and this is pretty cool, they will feature "pre-approved" tweets featuring the #GOBLUE hashtag on their video board throughout the game. Props to Michigan for taking the idea and adding another cool concept to it. No word yet from Scott Stricklin if he will look to one-up the Wolverines by tattooing #HailState on his cheek.

FWTCT's Radio Show - Baseball, Spring Football, and The Coaching Search

On this week's episode of the radio show, justinrsutton, RobbieRandolph and The Croom Diaries joined host thecristilmethod to discuss the weekend of baseball versus Arky, the start of spring football practice and who we are watching, and the continued basketball coaching search. Check out the show as we name who we like as the new basketball coach, talk about how the baseball team is playing well even at 2-4 in the SEC, and we even name The Croom Diaries our head of topical humor. As always we want to remind you that we are powered by the wonderful folks at Bulldog Sports Radio, and we encourage you to check out the rest of the high quality programming in their lineup on your Apple device, Android device or on your PC.

Fletcher Cox talks about Kyle Love's influence on him

Found this video at the New England Patriots page today and thought you all might enjoy. As a part of their Patriots Today segment, the site talked with Fletcher Cox about his relationship with Patriots DR and fellow former Bulldog Kyle Love. As you'll remember, Fletcher was an Freshman during Love's Senior season in Maroon and White. Neat video, check it out
