Just a quick note to pass along here from Sports Business Daily: approximately 600,000 people tuned into the SportsCenter featuring Tom Rinaldi's interview with Tiger Woods last Sunday. Kelly Tilghman's interview was seen by approximately 150,000 people on Golf Channel.
Having read & watched both interviews that Tiger Woods conducted outside of his Isleworth home on Sunday afternoon, and thought about everything else leading up to the interviews, it only made sense to have one massive reaction piece rather than five separate missives about particular aspects of the interview.
Here's the video and the transcript of the two interviews that Tiger Woods conducted today with ESPN's Tom Rinaldi and Golf Channel's Kelly Tilghman.
ESPN has released some quotes from the five to six minute interview with Tiger Woods, set to air at 7:30 pm ET. Given the short time frame, this may well be the whole interview.
The Associated Press' Doug Ferguson is reporting that Tiger Woods will be interviewed by ESPN and Golf Channel in back-to-back interviews this evening. Ferguson reports that Woods' first interview with be with Tom Rinaldi of ESPN around 7pm ET, then with Golf Channel's Kelly Tilghman - a long time pal of Woods in the media - at 7:30pm ET.
