Dawgs Win a Big One vs. UPig

Wow, what a relief! Finally the Bulldogs come out and play well to cream Arkansas. Maybe they let out a bunch of frustration because that was a demolition of the Hogs, 79-59.

Arnett Moultrie scored at least 20 points yet again at the Hump, he also had 10 rebounds. Dee Bost capped off his career in Starkville with 16 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists. Brian Bryant had a couple high-flying dunks and finished his senior year up strong as well with 15 points. Even senior Taylor Luczak was able to hit a jumper at the top of the key with a minute left.

Mississippi State finished with a 21-10 record, 8-8 in the SEC. After this victory, the NCAA Tournament prospects look a lot better. Going into the SEC Tournament starting on Thursday maybe State will only need one win to secure a spot in the big dance. Here is how the seeding will be for the SEC Tourney...

(Assuming Florida loses to Kentucky tomorrow)

1. Kentucky
2. Tennessee
3. Vanderbilt
4. Florida
5. Alabama
6. Mississippi State
7. Ole Miss
8. LSU
9. Arkansas
10. Auburn
11. Georgia
12. South Carolina

So MSU will play Georgia on Thursday at 9:00 CST in New Orleans. If they can win that one they will play Vanderbilt on Friday night. If Florida were to beat Kentucky tomorrow, Tennessee would be the #3 seed, and MSU would play the Vols in Round 2.
