MSU Beats Bama in Game 2, 3-2

A couple of low scoring games so far, but the Dawgs have had the higher number in both games. It's the 3rd straight series win for State.

MSU is now 12-11 in SEC play, it's the first time all year they've had a winning record. ARK beat USC so we're still tied for 2nd in the West. This was the first Saturday game (Game 2) that the Dawgs have won in conference.

Going for the sweep tomorrow at 1:05.

State plays .500 ball the next 2 weeks,where would that put us in the tourney picture,and how far can they go,against non-conference teams? Is Omaha a realistic goal? I think it it is,but I think more of this team than most.

If we play .500 ball and end up say 15-15 in the SEC, I think we end up as a 2 seed in a regional. Hey, with Stratton, who knows what can happen, he may be the best pitcher in America

we may be able to beat Bama with 3 hits but if we don’t start putting the bat on the ball we are going to have a very short post-season; Straton can’t pitch every game
