What an amazing game yesterday! It was awesome to watch us dominate Auburn like that. Somewhere deep down I think I knew State could do it, but I was convincing myself not to give my hopes up, or to think we were better than we might truly be (2011 scars still fresh, 2008 and 2001 still visible). We'll continue to discuss that game here on the blog because it was HUGE, but right now I have to say....I am done with ESPN.

Every Sunday morning during football season I get up, eat breakfast, and then drink my coffee while I watch 'College Football Final' on my DVR before it's time to go to church. I did it this morning. No, I didn't expect MSU's soul-crushing defeat of the Plainsmen to be on during the first 5 or 10 minutes, but I did expect some highlights and commentary from Dr. Lou and Mr. May (not sure why I ever cared). What did I get? Nothing. Not even a mention of the score. The game was on ESPN!!

I know most folks in Mississippi, and especially Jackson, hate Comcast with a passion for living. But over here in Jawja, I love it. I had it when I lived in the Jackson area (Ridgeland) and I didn't have any problem - but maybe their service has deteriorated since then. Anyway, I love Comcast because of CSS (Comcast Sports Southeast). They have all kinds of college football talk including my favorite show 'Talkin' Football' with Tony Barnhart and some other guys. On that show they have a rule: no talking about off the field issues for more than 15 seconds - what a great rule!

CSS also has a daily show called 'SEC Football Tonight'. That's right, SEC ONLY - they way it ought to be. They've got all the coach's shows, replays of all the games - it's awesome for a SEC junkie like me.

I've slowly drifted away from the world-wide leader over the last couple of years...but now I'm done. If they can't even show the score of one of our biggest games, one of only 3 S-E-C games that day, then who needs 'em.
