Denico Autry enters senior year, but his 2nd year in a maroon uniform as one of the team captains and ready to have a big year. He was named to the Coaches 3rd team All-SEC in the preseason, and hopefully he will be able to be the leader of the defensive line.
Autry was a 5-star recruit out of EMCC in the 2012 class. He had 4 sacks and 9.5 TFL during his first year. Things started off a little slow for him, but he did his best work down the stretch. Many have compared him to the way Pernell McPhee performed coming out of juco - and McPhee had a huge senior year in 2010, so if that's the case it would be huge.
At 6'-6" 255 Denico is the perfect size to be an impact player in the SEC at defensive end. With a renewed emphasis on pressure the QB, this could be his time to shine. Look for big things out of #90 this fall.
