This week, Mississippi State released schedules for the upcoming seasons for both the baseball team and the softball team.

The baseball team has a difficult slate coming up. From the official release:
The Diamond Dawgs will play 20 games against eight teams that made the 2016 NCAA Tournament, 11 games against four programs that reached the NCAA Super Regional round and a pair of games against a team that reached the College World Series.
Mississippi State’s softball team has their own set of challenges in the 55 games that they’ll play this upcoming season:
Of the 55 overall contests, 27 are against teams that participated in the 2016 NCAA Tournament.

Both teams have reasons to be excited about the upcoming season. Vann Stuedeman’s squad has recruited incredibly well as of late while over on the baseball diamond Andy Cannizaro is preparing for his first season as a head coach with a talented roster of his own.
