Well, it looks like Dan Mullen has some more hiring to do. He just brought in a new defensive coordinator (and subsequently shipped the old one up to Louisville) and now Maurice Linguist is leaving Mississippi State to head up and join P.J. Fleck’s staff at Minnesota.
Mississippi State has confirmed that safeties coach Maurice Linguist is indeed headed to join the staff at Minnesota.

It didn’t take very long for Linguist to hit the recruiting trail for Minnesota either.

Linguist spent one season here in Starkville coaching the safeties. I would assume that he’s headed to Minnesota for the same sort of position but I haven’t seen anything saying what he’ll be doing for the Golden Gophers.
