Mississippi State got off to a quick start this evening and never really looked back, holding a 22-8 lead after the first quarter. Ole Miss tried to make the game close at time, cutting the lead to 11 at the half, but MSU withstood every attempt at a comeback. The Bulldogs never trailed at any point during the game. They led for an astounding 38 minutes and 36 seconds.
Victoria Vivians led all scorers with 23 points and had 6 rebounds. Vivans was 4-7 from behind the three point line. Dominique Dillingham scored 16 points, the best of her season so far, and was 2-3 from behind the arc.
Morgan William also made it into the double digits, scoring 14. Breanna Richardson was 1 point shy of a double-double, scoring 9 points and snagging 10 rebounds.
Matt Insell, the Ole Miss women’s basketball team, and all of that “Ole Miss money” will now be headed back to Oxford after taking another double digit loss to Mississippi State.
