The Mississippi St. Bulldogs will be kicking off early in the day this Saturday, but that won’t be the case for Homecoming against the Kentucky Wildcats. On Monday, the SEC announced the TV schedule for all SEC games for week 8, and the Bulldogs will be kicking off in the middle of the day.

Our Homecoming Game on Oct. 21 vs. Kentucky will kick off at 3 p.m. CT on SEC Network #HailState pic.twitter.com/loxcIGuddu
For those who won’t be in attendance, the game will be televised at 3:00 p.m. Central Daylight Time on the SEC Network. This will be the game opposite of the marquee matchup on CBS. This will be the third Saturday in October which means CBS has chosen Tennessee and Alabama as that match up despite the fact Tennessee will likely get demolished.
Just in case you have forgotten, this will also be Mississippi State’s Homecoming Game, so Homecoming Festivities will be taking place. It will be a very busy week around campus as the week winds down to the game.
This will also be when Victoria Vivians receives her crown as the 2017 Mississippi State Homecoming Queen. Vivians was announced as the winner of the Homecoming election on October 3rd.
The game will be relatively important to both teams. Mississippi State fans feel this is a game they should win, but Kentucky fans feel the same way about Mississippi State. The winner will be on pace for having a really nice season while the loser will be looking at the strong possibility of a mediocre season. Should be a good one.
