Now, some are going to be quick to react to the line and point out that the Wildcats are 5-1 and should be 6-0, had they not screwed up against Florida. But this line makes sense. The Bulldogs are playing at home and, though Kentucky has a better record, it’s a bit misleading.
Kentucky has struggled against teams such as Southern Miss, Eastern Kentucky, Eastern Michigan, Mizzou, and they lost to Florida. None of these teams are really all that impressive right now. That said, Kentucky did beat South Carolina, a team that has had moments of brilliance throughout the season so far.
Of course, who knows how this game will actually play out, but it makes sense for the odds makers to favor MSU by this margin.
