Consistency, Consistency, Consistency

Consistency. This Mississippi State women’s squad has not skipped a beat. In the last 5 games they have outscored opponents 438-298. That’s right... 438 points in 5 games. This team knows how to score massive amounts of points. No one has really been competitive with the Lady Bulldogs this season.

In the last game, Mississippi State faced off against #25 Syracuse on Thursday night and handled the game, 76-65. With the 11 point victory, this was the smallest margin of victory for the Lady Bulldogs. They won by 11 against #9 Oregon as well, but also seemed to handle most of that game.

Victoria Vivians and Teaira McCowan traded spots on Thursday night, as Vivians led the team in scoring with a total of 26 points. McCowan led the team in rebounds with 13 rebounds. Blair Schaefer was the team’s second leading scorer with 15 points. Everyone on this team is a point contributor, and when you have Teaira down in the paint there’s a low percentage of opponent offensive production.

The Lady Bulldogs have a break until December 28th when they take on Mississippi Valley State at 7:00PM CT. Consistency has been the name of their game and they hope to continue their streak on Thursday night.
