Mississippi State Women’s Basketball Advances to 25-1 by Crushing Ole Miss

The Bulldogs win their 7th consecutive game over Ole Miss

Vic Schaefer’s team claims another victory over Ole Miss. The Bulldogs won by 22 points tonight and move to 25-1 on the season with the win. Mississippi State recorded their largest margin of victory in Oxford this evening, an event that is becoming fairly common these days.

Teaira McCowan paced the Maroon and White in both points and rebounds today. McCowan had a double double coming off of the bench, scoring 17 and grabbing 18 rebounds.

Dominique Dillingham and Victoria Vivians also reached double digits scoring with 12 and 11 respectively. Outside of that, the scoring was fairly spread out for MSU.

As a team, MSU out rebounded the Rebels by 15. The Bulldogs also recorded 10 more assists and 5 more steals than Ole Miss. There was no major stat that Ole Miss led in that could show that they had a chance at beating Mississippi State today.

The rivalry has been heated lately, both on the court and off. This all comes after Ole Miss fans allegedly threw beer and shrimp heads at MSU last night. Vic Schaefer’s team will face
