The game didn’t go Mississippi State’s way last night. That much is obvious and doesn’t need stating. Whether it was caused by exhaustion, be it mental or physical, from the overtime game against UConn, it doesn’t really matter. The Bulldogs just couldn’t overcome the Gamecocks.
But Mississippi State has had one hell of a ride. They’ve accomplished things far greater than what anyone truly expected this season. Ending what was arguably one of the most dominant streak in sports history will cement this team as one of legends. My buddy Justin wrote more about that in more elegant words than I can muster right now, so go read that.
And now, the season is over. And Mississippi State is coming home. Be there to support them when they arrive on campus. These women have done so much for the university and us, the fans, in this run to the national title.
Bulldog fans, if you would like to welcome the team home from Dallas, we will be arriving at Zacharias Village around 3 pm.
