The 2017 college football season is starting to creep up on us as we’re about 5 weeks away from the Bulldogs kicking things off against the Charleston Southern Buccaneers on September 2nd.

Today, Mississippi State officially announced the kickoff time for the kickoff game. The Bulldogs will face the Buccaneers at 3 pm on SEC Network.

From the official Mississippi State press release:

Mississippi State opens its 118th season of football when it hosts Charleston Southern at 3 p.m. CT on Saturday, Sept. 2 live on SEC Network.

The league unveiled opening weekend kickoff times on Tuesday.

MSU's first three game times have all been set. The Bulldogs travel to Ruston, La., to face Louisiana Tech on Sept. 9 at 6:30 p.m. on the CBS Sports Network. MSU opens Southeastern Conference play against LSU at 6 p.m. on Sept. 16 in Davis Wade Stadium. That contest will be televised by either ESPN or ESPN2.

As we approach the September 2nd kickoff and we all start to get ready, it’s probably a little important to keep in mind what you’re going to wear for this game. Especially given that it’s going to be September 2nd. In Mississippi. With a 3 pm kickoff. Get ready for all of the sweat.
