Houston, and much of the Texas Gulf coast region, has been ravaged by Hurricane Harvey. It’s where I’m from. It’s near and dear to me. My family, friends, and hometown have been impacted in terrible ways by this storm.

As a Mississippi State community, I know we can do some good to help out those in need. Mississippi is one of the most giving states in the nation and has some of the most kindhearted people on this planet. Let’s help some folks out.

Buy a Houstrong shirt. All proceeds will be donated to Harvey relief efforts.

Help the College of Forest Resources raise money for the Houston Food Bank.

Donate to JJ Watt's campaign. He’s raised a ton of money. Let’s help him raise some more.

The Southern Baptist Disaster Relief is collecting money as well.

Donate blood. It literally keeps people alive.

Airbnb is partnering with people to find places to house evacuees. You can literally open your home to people that are displaced.

NPR has collected a list here.

Mayor of Houston Sylvester Turner has set up a relief fund along with the Greater Houston Community Foundation.

As I come across more links, charities, and ways that we can give to others, I will post those here. If you’re unable to donate, please consider sharing these links with others. Thank you.
