Mississippi State’s football team is honoring the victims of Hurricane Harvey this Saturday. The Bulldogs will be adding a special helmet decal for this week’s game against Charleston Southern that features the state of Texas.
Our thoughts and prayers are with all those affected by #HurricaneHarvey. We will wear this helmet decal in their honor for Saturday's game. pic.twitter.com/8pLRH75Mrh

This is an incredibly touching gesture for the state of Mississippi’s Gulf Coast neighbors to the west, especially with this storm being unprecedented in many ways. With this being the 12 year anniversary of Hurricane Katrina, the disaster hits home for a lot of Mississippians.
As a Texan and a Bulldog, my only complaint is that I can’t buy my own copy of this decal for my car or as a 3’ x 5’ flag. If Mississippi State sold these with all of the profits going to help Hurricane Harvey victims, I would buy at least three decals and probably one flag.
To find out more how you can help Houstonians, we’ve compiled a bit of a list here. Let’s do something good, y’all.
