At 1-0, Mississippi state finds itself traveling to Ruston, Louisiana for the first time since 2008. The Bulldogs certainly hope that they fare better on this trip than they did on that one, and that they can survive a scrappy Louisiana Tech team to move to 2-0 before LSU comes to town next weekend. Happy game day, and Hail State!

Odds: Okay you gambling degenerates, now that Mississippi State is playing a fellow FBS opponent, there is a betting line for this week’s game. As of this morning, the Bulldogs of maroon and white are an 9.5-point favorite over the home town Bulldogs of blue and red on the betting website BetOnline.com . The line opened somewhere on the other side of a touchdown last Sunday; however, the money has come in on the side of Mississippi State as the week wore on.
