Mississippi State Football Following a Bye Week

What’s good about Mississippi State having a bye week last Saturday?

The Mississippi St. Bulldogs had their “bye week” this past weekend. How is this going to help the Bulldogs this week when they travel to Baton Rouge to face the LSU Tigers?

  • This team needed a break.

After facing three straight SEC opponents any team would need a break. The Bulldogs finished that stretch 1-2. Disappointing for sure, but not all is lost.

  • Mississippi State is about to jump into their most difficult games.

LSU. Texas A&M. La Tech. ALABAMA. Arkansas. Ole Miss. That is how the Bulldogs will finish the season. I sure hope they got some good rest this past weekend.

  • LSU is coming off their biggest win this season.

Let’s hope the Tigahs left it all on the field. That was one heck of a performance by the LSU Tigers and Coach O. Joe Burrow played great and maybe he used up all of his powers last Saturday against the Georgia Bulldogs defense.

  • LSU plays Alabama next.

LSU has a bye week before they play Alabama. It would be very easy for the LSU team to overlook the Mississippi St. Bulldogs after playing the #2 Georgia Bulldogs and now looking ahead to the #1 Alabama Crimson Tide.

The Dawgs will compete on Saturday and it should be a fun night in Death Valley.
