It’ll be a tough one for the Bulldogs as they face the Dayton Flyers.

Good afternoon, Stark Vegas! It’s gameday for Ben Howland’s Bulldogs and, well, that’s it. We’re almost done with a slow week in terms of amount of games, but this one is shaping up to be a good one.

MBB faces Dayton

The No. 25 Bulldogs hit the road to face the Dayton Flyers. Although their beloved coach Archie Miller left, Dayton is a very tough team to face on the road. This would be a solid win for State, but they’ll have their hands full. Tip-off is 6 p.m. CT and will be broadcasted on CBS Sports Network.

We’re close to CFB’s Selection Sunday

Tonight begins conference championship weekend and Sunday is the day all of the bowl games are announced. Where do you see Mississippi State landing? Who do you think they play? Who would you LOVE to see them play? Leave a comment!

Again, it’s a slow week for games and news. So let’s go ahead and get into national stuff.

Conference championship weekend starts tonight

Here’s the conference title game slate this weekend:

MAC: Northern Illinois vs. Buffalo (7 p.m. ET, ESPN2)

PAC 12: No. 17 Utah vs. No. 11 Washington (8 p.m. ET, FOX)

Big 12: No. 14 Texas vs. No. 5 Oklahoma (12 p.m. ET, ABC)

Sun Belt: Louisiana @ Appalachian State (12 p.m. ET, ESPN)

Conference USA: UAB @ Middle Tennessee State (1:30 p.m., CBSSN)

American: Memphis @ No. 8 UCF (3:30 p.m. ET, ABC)

SEC: No. 1 Alabama vs. No. 4 Georgia (4 p.m. ET, CBS)

ACC: No. 2 Clemson vs. Pittsburgh (8 p.m. ET, ABC)

Big 10: No. 21 Northwestern vs. No. 6 Ohio State (8 p.m. ET, FOX)

I’m excited. I’m most looking forward to Fresno State vs. Boise State, but that’s because I’m a big Boise State fan. Which game will you guys be tuned into?

High school cancels school due to threats

Just when you think deranged fans couldn’t go any lower, they do. When news hit that Purdue head coach Jeff Brohm wasn’t going to take the Louisville job, fans made threats to the high school he went to. You read that correctly. Trinity High School, where Brohm attended, had to cancel classes yesterday due to threats made regarding Brohm. A suspect has been arrested, according to the Courier Journal.

Tom Herman is taking over Texas

If you aren’t familiar with the “Ok. Cool, Hook em” meme, look up Zach Smith’s twitter tirade regarding Herman. Here’s an article that shows some of it.
