Good afternoon, Stark Vegas! I apologize for not writing these for the past few days. Finals ended and I’m back home, but expect these to get back to a daily thing.

Let’s get started with what happened this past weekend and what’s on hand for today.

MSU handles Cincinnati

The Bulldogs shot 52.2% from downtown and both Quinndary Weatherspoon and Lamar Peters had 14 points in State’s 70-59 win over the Bearcats. Next up is Wofford, which will be another tough contest.

Football commit changes JUCOs... maybe

Johnquarise Patterson, a WR from Jones County Junior College, put on his Twitter that he’s going to play for East Mississippi State. However, he’s deleted the Tweet since then. Patterson is set to play for the Bulldogs in 2020.

WBB falls for the first time this season to No. 7 Oregon

A hard-fought game from MSU wasn’t enough as the Lady Bulldogs fell at Oregon 82-74. Anriel Howard had 30 points and Teaira McCowan was held to just 5 points.

Welcome to early signing day!

Today is early signing day, where commits can go ahead and put pen to paper and become officially a player for their school. Check out our live updates on signees here.

Now for some national stuff.

Justin Fields to transfer

The No. 2 QB of the 2018 class Justin Fields has reportedly told Georgia he wants to play elsewhere. Pretty difficult to come to a school whose freshman QB took them to a national title, but ESPN says he’s looking at Ohio State, Florida State and Oklahoma, but also could return.

Keep in mind, Fields was a Penn State commit when Joe Moorehead was still there.

Big Ten commissioner wants to look at expansion

This may or may not be because Ohio State was snubbed from this year’s College Football Playoff, but Jim Delaney wants to look at expanding the playoff.
