Good morning, Stark Vegas! Sorry I haven’t been able to write these the past couple of days. Finals week is coming up and preparation for that is brutal, just like MBB’s first half against McNeese State.
MBB gets by McNeese State
This one wasn’t pretty, but MSU came away with the victory. McNeese State had a three-point lead at the half, but Lamar Peters’ 27 points helped the Bulldogs take control in the second half and win 90-77.
WBB survives scare from Marquette
This was a good test for Vic Schaefer’s team. Marquette held leads throughout the game, but Anriel Howard came to the rescue with 29 points and 12 rebounds. Teaira McCowan added 24 points and 18 boards in a down-to-the-wire 87-82 win.
Kelly Bryant will enroll at Mizzou
State loses in the Kelly Bryant sweepstakes to SEC foe Missouri.
Football players earn postseason honors
Montez Sweat and Johnathan Abram were named second-team All-Americans by Sports Illustrated yesterday.
National news time!
Hugh Freeze to be hired at Liberty
If you know anything about Liberty, you know this is a very weird hire.
Kyler Murray wins AP Player of the Year
The Oklahoma quarterback beat Alabama quarterback Tua Tagovailoa.
Here’s the question for the day: If you could drop and add a school to the SEC, who would it be and why? Comment below!
Have a good day and Hail State!
