Diamond Dawgs Set To Host No. 3 Arkansas For #SBW18

It’s time to get back on track for the Dawgs.

STARKVILLE, Miss. – Super Bulldog Weekend, the most exciting spring event for MSU, is upon us and Mississippi State baseball is set to host Southeastern Conference foe No. 3 Arkansas at Dudy Noble Field for the annual event.

The Diamond Dawgs (19-19, 5-10 SEC) and Razorbacks (28-10, 10-5 SEC) will are set for a three-game SEC series that will begin today at 6:30 p.m. CT. MSU and Arkansas will then play again on Saturday at 6 p.m. and conclude the series Sunday at 1 p.m. All three games will air live on SEC Network+.

This weekend’s series is a great opportunity to get back on track. State is coming off a midweek loss to Memphis 6-1. They also dropped last weekend’s SEC match with Auburn two games to one.

Arkansas is coming into the series winning nine of its last 10 games.

The Diamond Dawgs went 1-4 against Arkansas last year with the win coming in the SEC Tournament.

Friday: MSU LHP Konnor Pilkington (2-5, 2.57 ERA) vs. Arkansas RHP Blaine Knight (6-0, 1.95 ERA)

Saturday: MSU LHP Ethan Small (3-3, 2.94 ERA) vs. Arkansas LHP Kacey Murphy (5-2, 2.00 ERA)

Sunday: MSU RHP Jacob Billingsley (2-2, 4.08 ERA) vs. Arkansas RHP Isaiah Campbell (3-3, 3.44 ERA)

Super Bulldog Weekend is a spring event where thousands of Mississippi State fans will make their way to campus to watch Diamond Dawg baseball and Bulldog softball, along with the Maroon & White spring football game.
