Mississippi State basketball player, Lamar Peters, has declared for the NBA draft. Though, he has not hired an NBA agent. Which means that he has a choice once he learns where he stands in the draft whether to stay at MSU or play in the NBA.
Lamar tweeted this around noon on Wednesday morning:
After an improved 2016-2017 season for my teammates an I and discussing it with my mother. I will enter my name into the NBA draft for evaluation of my talents but will not hire an agent #hail state pic.twitter.com/hp48co7fBc

Peters had a decent 2017-2018 season, but finished out the year as the main star on Mississippi State’s basketball team.
I expect Peters to be back on MSU’s team next year. There are only 60 players that get drafted in the NBA draft. It is composed of two rounds with 30 picks per round.
Mississippi State will return all of its starters if Peters decides to stay and if there are no players who transfer.
