HOOVER, Ala. – The Mississippi State baseball team is coming off of its first Southeastern Conference road series win this past weekend after beating Alabama 6-4 in the rubber match, but finds themselves needing a win to keep an at-large NCAA bid hope alive.

Mississippi State (26-22, 11-13 SEC) will continue its seven-game road trip with a midweek game, and final non-conference game, against the Troy Trojans (32-16) today at Hoover Metropolitan Stadium, with a first pitch set for 6 p.m. CT.

Being it’s a neutral site, the Dawgs will be the home team.

Troy is coming in of off a series loss to Georgia Southern, but they did win the series finale 7-0.

MSU is 4-0 all-time against Troy with the two sides having last met at Dudy Noble Field during the 2017 season.
