OMAHA, Neb. – After beating Washington 1-0 in walk-off fashion in Saturday’s opening game of the College World Series, the Diamond Dawgs will face North Carolina at TD Ameritrade Park in the winners bracket tonight at 6 p.m. CT on ESPN.
Jake Mangum, who entered the College World Series hitting .353 with a .432 on-base percentage, will be a key factor in the game. He was 2-3 with a double and a walk in the win over Washington on Saturday.
The winner of Monday’s matchup will face the winner of Wednesday’s elimination game on Friday at 3 p.m. ET.
North Carolina is coming in off of a 8-6 win over Oregon State and are 10-1 over the last 11 games. They have outscored its opponents 95-38.
