Wait why is he so low? He’s your classic case of a big guy who can run. He has set many school records and is the second greatest quarterback in school history. But he’s been a starter for only two years and it wasn’t until this past year that we really saw the skills he possesses. We watched him grow in 2016 and we witnessed the arrival in 2017. His senior year will be the real measuring stick on just how great he is. It’s nothing personal against him. Don’t get me wrong. I think he is one of the best in the country. But let’s settle down with this talk that he’s the greatest of all time. We’ve only seem just a tiny amount of the pure playmaking ability he possesses. We know it’s there. After one real year of putting his abilities on display, 2018 is one of the most exciting seasons we’ll see for a long time. Nick is going to be the focal point of this team.

So now I answer the burning question: Why is he ranked so low?

Well. It’s because we don’t know what the future holds. His ankle is a cause of concern but honestly, I personally have no worries about that. It’s mostly just because it’s hard to replicate the success he’s had so far. I think he can certainly do it. But we won’t know it for a fact until the season gets into full swing. I think the world of him. But I’m not ready to brand him as “The Great One”. His senior year is going to be what makes me believe in The Fitz. I just hope I’m wrong to assume he won’t replicate the success he’s had so far. Better underestimate someone and they prove you wrong that overhype someone and they make you look like a fool. I’m hoping to be proven wrong.
