AP Top 25 Thoughts Going into Week 3

Dawgs up 2 spots in this week’s AP Poll. Here’s a look around the AP Top 25 going into week 3

NCAA Football: Mississippi State at Kansas State Scott Sewell-USA TODAY Sports

With a big win on the road against a Power 5 school in Kansas State, the Mississippi St. Bulldogs have jumped up 2 spots to land at #16 in this week’s AP Poll. Our Bulldogs will face Louisiana this weekend and should win in dominating fashion. I’ve got our dawgs winning 59-6.

No surprise with the Alabama Crimson Tide sitting at #1... Let’s be real... those guys in crimson look really good right now. The Tide will take on the Ole Miss Rebels in Oxford this weekend. I’ve got the Tide 45-21... Hard for me to say that OM won’t put up points, but Tua Tagovailoa will roll through that defense.

The Georgia Bulldogs continue to hangout at #3, but make a push for #2 this week after they handled the South Carolina Gamecocks. Plus Clemson struggled with A&M and we’re just not sure about them yet. Georgia hosts the Middle Tennessee Blue Raiders and will walk through week 3... Dawgs in huge win 54-13,

Auburn also stays at the same spot this week at #7 as they dominated Alabama State 63-9... (Alabama State were you actually talking trash on Twitter? lol) This week is interesting for the War Eagles (I just hate when the same mascot faces each other so I’ll refer to Auburn as the War Eagles) as they face the LSU Tigers. I’ll wait to pick this one in the next paragraph.

LSU taking one step back at #12 this week. LSU only scored 7 points in the second half against Southeastern Louisiana? Concerning as they enter Jordan-Hare Stadium this weekend. I’m not sold on LSU’s offense, but I like how fast their defense moves to the ball. I’ll take the War Eagles in a closer one than people are thinking... 24-20.
